KILZ® CEILING PAINT is a stainblocking paint and primer specially formulated for ceiling applications. The problem-solving formula simplifies the ceiling painting process. KILZ Ceiling Paint blocks heavy ceiling stains, is spatter-resistant and is Zero VOC.*

KILZ® CEILING PAINT is a low odor, zero VOC primer and topcoat that has KILZ® PREMIUM stainblocking technology. It blocks out most common ceiling stains and rolls on easily with minimal spattering. Dries quickly to flat white. Use on interior ceilings including woodwork, drywall, plaster, stucco, paneling, masonry, brick, painted metal and properly prepared glossy surfaces.*

Dry Time

Dries to the touch in 30 minutes and can be recoated in 2 hours.
For maximum stainblocking, recoat after 4 hours.
Application at lower temperatures, high humidity or poor ventilation will affect dry time.

Our Test

We had one nasty ceiling to paint with these brown stains throughout the ceiling. We tried the new Kilz Stain blocking ceiling paint and was surprised at how effortlessly it blocked the stains. I think in more extreme cases, two coat of this product will get the job done. Look at it this way, many paint contractors will prime a ceiling like this and apply one coat of a flat white ceiling paint (or two). Weigh out your costs in materials and labor. Give it a try.
